Business characteristics

  • Recurring revenue from contracts or repeat customers
  • Consistent margins and cash flow over several years
  • Barriers to entry: licenses, certifications, long-term contracts, reputation
  • Diversified customer base; no customer above 10 to 15 percent of revenue
  • A team that runs the day-to-day; not dependent on the owner alone
  • Room to grow, organically and through add-on acquisitions

Open on industry. A business doesn't need every one of these to be a fit.

What sellers get from us

  • Long-term owners, not on an outside investor's timeline to sell
  • Involved owners who invest in the team and help steer growth
  • The team and the customer relationships stay
  • A fast, honest read: fit and rough value within a couple of weeks
  • A clear offer, and a transition we work through together
  • Professionals with experience guiding and growing companies
